Онума Окейзи - профессор и директор Отдела международных программ АСТУ, посетил факультет управления ТНУ с целью внутреннего мониторинга и официального закрытия проекта NISCUPP

The main purposes of the trip were to conduct a final evaluation and close-out of the project as it has come to its completion date. The final evaluation was successfully carried out by the Traveler in collaboration with host country NISCUPP coordinator and other project key personnel who focused on the assessment of the impact of the Summer Institute on those who participated in the Institute (the Alumni) and with the host-country Director with a focus on assessment of project accomplishments impact on the University.

The assessments showed outstanding accomplishments and impacts, also that all the proposed objective activities were successfully completed and expected outcomes more than fully achieved. On curriculum restructuring and development it was shown that twenty-one faculty members or more than 44% took part in restructuring and development of the curriculum even though only 9 or 18% of them went on exchange training visit to Alabama A&M University. As a result of their combined efforts, 22 courses were developed or restructured and these have been incorporated for credit in the Faculty of Management curriculum. Student enrollment as a measure of NISCUPP impact in the Faculty of Management shows that from 2000 when the project started to 2004, enrollment has increased by 400% and when compared to the Faculty of Economics which did not have curricula restructuring or development or similar project, it had only 113% increase in its student enrollment over the same period. On the University level, another measure of the NISCUPP impact can be seen on the share of student enrollment in the Faculty of Management. In 2000, the share of freshman enrollment in the Faculty of Management was 5%. By 2004, its share of freshman enrollment has risen to 12%. A catalogue of the Management Faculty has been published for the information of students and the general public. The publication serves as a model for other Faculties in the University as a convenient and informative way of presenting the curriculum and other academic program in a university.

В рамках партнерства АСТУ-ТНУ были разработаны и опубликованы каталог новых и реструктурированных курсов, а также учебное пособие "Управление бизнесом" на основе модулей Летнего института

Management Faculty developed and published the Course Catalogue with assistance of AAMU for new and restructured curriculum. It consists of 93 pages and provides students with clear and easy to understand information about the curricula that were designed to meet their educational needs and the courses that will be delivered to them in order to get a degree in Management of Organization or Management of International Business. Each course outline listed in the Catalogue includes purposes, tasks and the field of study.

As a result of joint efforts of both Alabama A&M University and Tavrida National University, and as a result of preparation to and holding of Summer Institutes the Basics Of Entrepreneurship Manual was developed and submitted into publishing company.

It consists of 330 pages and covers different aspects of the entrepreneurship including chapters like essence of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship management, marketing and internet marketing. AAMU counterparts did very valuable input into development of the manual since their materials were based on the knowledge delivered and tested at Summer Institutes.

Mostly all TNU exchange visitors wrote their chapters that are within their professional fields developed as a result of their stays at AAMU. This manual will be the comprehensive source of information and knowledge for those who want to learn all about establishing and running successfully his/her small or medium sized business.

Andrey Martovoy, Senior Lecturer and Vladimir Khrapko, Associate Professor participated in "USA-Ukraine Educational Partnerships Workshop" organized by US DOS and US Embassy in Ukraine, Pereyaslav-Kmelnitsky, Ukraine.

AAMU-TNU NISCUPP Partnership was the only partnership which delivered not one but two presentations at the workshop. In total, about 40 Partnership directors and their representatives attended the Workshop.

 

Успешно проведен цикл летних практик для 4 студентов 4-го курса факультета управления ТНУ на частных предприятиях г. Хантсвила, США

In accomplishing this objective, a competition was designed and carried out among prospective students in order to select the most capable of and willing to go through the Summer Internship with Private-sector Business Enterprises in Huntsville, Alabama.

As a result, four students were selected based on their academic records, skills and essay results. Among them three (3) students were forth year students and one (1) student was a third year student by the time of competition start.

Each of them spent 2 months of internship in U.S. companies making a total of 8 man-months of internship training.

The first part of their internship consisted of getting experience of the American education at AAMU Business School by enrolling in Summer Courses. Two courses Entrepreneurship and Business Communication were studied and compared to TNU ones.

The second part of their internship consisted of getting experience of the way American companies work. The travelers worked at Cirrus Technology Inc. and Wal-Mart. They were exposed to good patterns of business activity. Interns had a possibility to acquaint themselves with business processes, marketing activity, logistics, organization, control and other key functions of a company. The experience obtained will help them to function better in real life and in the Ukrainian conditions.

Совершенствуя курсы маркетингового направления

Прошло немного времени как из поездки по обмену опытом в Школу Бизнеса Алабамского универститета вернулся ассистент кафедры менеджмента ВЭД Мартовой А.В.

В результате проделанной работы в Школе бизнеса АСТУ были изучены учебные курсы в области маркетинга и проведено сравнение с преподаваемыми в ТНУ. Все курсы по маркетингу были проанализированы в соответствии с их местом в учебных планах

школы бизнеса АСТУ и факультета управления ТНУ.

В соответствии с учебными программами американского университета были разработаны 2 курса (связи с общественностью, принципы электронной коммерции) и 1 курс - реструктуризирован (основы маркетинга) для их внедрения в учебные планы ТНУ.

Определены и отобраны книги и учебные пособия по маркетингу и инновациям для реструктуризации курсов. Количество подаренных книг составило 11 штук, а количество заказанных - 16.

Важное значение имело участие в IX ежегодной конференции Американского общества бизнес- и поведенческих наук в г. Лас-Вегас (Невада) с 7 по 10 февраля 2002 г. Участник поездки прослушал 21 доклад в области маркетинга (научные и педагогические аспекты). Это стало существенным вкладом в достижение большей части целей поставленных в рамках пребывания в США.

В дополнение к официально запланированным целям было прочтено 6 лекций студентам школы бизнеса АСТУ по курсу "Принципы электронной коммерции" (MKT 330 Principles of e-Commerce). Проведена проверка домашних заданий и подготовка экзаменационных тестов. По результатам экзамена средний уровень полученных знаний студентами составил 90%.

Студентам бизнес школы в рамках курса "Международный маркетинг и его окружение" была прочитана специально разработанная лекция "Маркетинг продуктов и услуг США в Украине".
