Vladimir N. Berzhanskiy was born on the 7th of March 1941 in Rostov-on
the-Don (Russia).
He finished the faculty of radiophysics at Tomsk State University (1964).
From 1964 he was junior and then senior research worker of the Institute
of Physics of Siberian Branch of Academy of Science of the USSR (Krasnoyarsk,
Russia).
He has worked at the University since 1981. He is a candidate of physical
and mathematical sciences (1971), assistant professor (1981), doctor of
physical and mathematical sciences (1994), professor (1994), the head
of the department
of experimental physics (1991).
V. Berzhanskiy has been the vice-rector in scientific work since 1999.
Excellent Educational Worker of Ukraine (1993), "Professor of Sorros"
(1996), corresponding member of Crimean Academy of Sciences (1994), secretary-academician
of sciences department of Crimean Academy of Sciences (1995), Honoured
Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (1999), corresponding member
of International Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences (2001), Honoured
Educational Worker of Crimea (2001). The chairman of spicialized Council
for conferring candidate's degree of TNU, the deputy editor of "The
Academic Transactions of Tnu" Journal .
The area of science interests - spine dynamics in ferro- and ferrimagnetics,
the processes of transfer of charge carriers in magnetic semiconductors.
He is the author of more than 170 scientific works and 10 inventions.
Many scientific researches have been made under his supervision - both
of fundamental and applied. He is one of the founders of new scientific
trend multiquantum echo-spectroscopy. He has suggested for the first time
new methods of selection of electrical and magnetic fine interactions,
of defining of the spine diffusion constants, and others.
He reads lectures on such subjects as "Physics of Magnetic Phenomena",
"Spine Dynamics", "Sensorics" for the students of
the faculty of physics.
V. Berzhanskiy speaks English fluently.
