Nikolay BAGROV was born on the 26th of October 1937 in Kherson Region (Ukraine).

He finished the Faculty of Natural Geography of Crimean Pedagogical Institute (1959), and was awarded his candidate's degree in Moscow State University and his doctor's degree - in Kyiv National University. He began working as a teacher of Bagerovo secondary school in Crimean region (1959-1961), then worked as an engineer-geologist in Crimean Institute of Mineral Resourses (1961-1963). From 1963 to 1969 he worked at Crimean Pedagogical Institute - he began as a postgraduate student, then assistant, and afterwards – a candidate of science. From 1970 to 1994 he worked in the Communist party administration (as a head of scientific and educational establishments department, a secretary of Crimean region party committee, a vice-director of the department of Central committee of the Communist party of the USSR (1998, Moscow)), and from 1989 – the first secretary of Crimean region committee of the party, in 1990-1994 - the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Crimea, a Deputy of Supreme Soviet of Ukraine. N. Bagrov has worked at the University since 1963. In 1967 he became a Candidate of Geographical Scince, in 1969 – Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Geography, in 1994 – Professor of the Department of Economic and Social Geography, in 2001 – Doctor of Geographical Science. In 1994-1997 he was a Vice-Rector on perspective development of Simferopol State University, in 1999 - a Vice-Rector on scientific work, the head of the Department of Economic and Social Geography. In 1999 N.Bagrov was elected the Rector of Taurida National University. He is a Honoured Educational Worker of Ukraine (1997), Academician of the International Academy of Informatization, Member of Academy of Engineering of Ukraine (1996), the Academician of Crimean Academy of Sciences, a member of National Committee of Geographers of Ukraine, a member of the Scientific Council of Ukrainian Geographical Society, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher School in Ukraine (2001), a member of Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. On August 21, 2007 President of Ukraine by his decree (No. 738/2007) confered the rank of Hero of Ukraine and awarded N.V.Bagrov with the Award of Orb for outstanding personal merits before the Ukrainian state in development of national education, preparation of highly skilled specialists, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity. The Area of Science Interests problems of development and distribution of productive forces in Ukraine, transportation and economical communications, regional economy, transformation of economic systems under conditions of market economy, recreational and electoral geography, political oecology, geopolitics.

Yelena Nikolaevna CHUYAN
is a Doctor of Biological Science, Professor, the Head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology and Biophysics, Director of the Center of Correction of Human Functional State at the Taurida National V.I. Vernadsky University.
She was born on December 23, 1962.
Yelena Chuyan finished Simferopol State University, speciality – Biology. In 1992 she defended a candidate thesis, and in 2004 – a doctor thesis.
She is the vice-chairman of the Specialized Scientific Council of the University, a member of editorial board and producing editor of the scientific magazine "Proceedings of Taurida National V.I. Vernadsky University" ("Biology. Chemistry" series), a member of editorial board of the journal "Regional Geopolitics and Ecogeodynamics", the head of the section "Biology. Recreation of the Region" of the Crimean Scientific Center of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ministry for Education and Science of Ukraine, a member of Ukrainian Biophysic and Ukrainian Physiologic Societies, Ukrainian Society of Cellular Physiology.
Yelena Chuyan is active in scientific work. She is the author of more than 200 scientific and educational publications, including 5 monographs, 12 declarative patents of Ukraine for invention. The sphere of scientific interests is study of biological efficiency of low-intensive unionizing electromagnetic radiations. Under her guidance, 5 candidate's theses were defended. Presently she supervises the scientific work of graduate students and competitors. In 2006 she was awarded the V. I. Vernadsky prize for the cycle of works in the sphere of electromagnetic biology.
Yelena Chuyan reads general courses in Radiobiology, Human and Animal Physiology, special courses on physiology of the visceral systems, the effects of weak influences at the Faculties of Biology and Chemistry of the Taurida National V.I.Vernadsky University.

He finished the Historical Faculty of the Simferopol State University (1976) and Russian Academy of Management under the President of Russian Federation (1993). Candidate of political science. Winner of the ARC State Prize. Candidate's dissertation ("Peculiarities of Forming and Development of Parliamentarianism in Russia and Ukraine (Comparative Political Science Analysis)" defended at the Russian Academy of Government Service under the President of Russian Federation and nostrificated at the V.M. Koretcky Institute of the State and Law. Since March, 2003 N. Syedin has been the Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies. Since May, 2004 he has been Vice-Rector on Correspondence and Distance Education. Area of scientific interests: state building, parliamentarianism, political parties, civil society. Nikolay Syedin reads the course of lectures on disciplines:
Author of 10 publications in scientific editions, coauthor of scientific edition of "V.I. Vernadsky and Crimea: People, Places, Events". Honoured Worker of Education of Crimea.
