Procurement

 

The accomplishments within this objectives are as follows:

Over 230 volumes of textbooks, booklets and manuals were donated by Alabama A&M University and shipped to TNU for use in Management Faculty by faculty and students. These collections are in English.

Acquisition of over 1300 volumes/books in Russian and Ukrainian, 12 CDs and 7 diskettes was made.

Some of the textbooks are procured in many volumes of the same text in correspondence with recommended texts for each of the restructured or new courses to ensure that substantial quantities of each recommended textbook or manual for a course are available and accessible to students in each course.

Four Workstations, 2 Scanners, Modem, Copier, Overhead Projector, three Printers, One of which combines scanner, copier and fax functions, and other necessary computer accessories have been acquired and are in useful operation.

In order to reinforce Summer Institute lectures new overhead Projector was procured. Three mice, a cartridge for laser printer, 20 diskettes, 2 boxes of transparences for color and b/w print were bought.

Two educational software - "The Management Scientist" (the program enables making effective management decisions) and "SPSS" (the program helps in analysis of data for the purpose of marketing research) were procured.

In support of restructured or newly developed courses, and procurement process the faculty of Management Department published 19 (nineteen) textbooks and methodological/instructional manuals during the reporting years.

In addition, the Management Faculty established a set of new academic Journals like Economy of Crimea, Economy and Management. The faculty provided input to the Journals like Scientific Notes of TNU, Humanitarian Sciences, and economic and business section of Culture of Nations in Black Sea Region.
