In order to achieve success in the restructuring program of the Government of Ukraine, and in order to foster the emergence of a competitive, efficient and responsive market-oriented economy in which the majority of economic resources is privately owned and managed, there must be a citizenry that possesses basic understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and of a free-market system in which the private sector thrives. Funded by US Department of State, Department of Educational and Cultural Affairs the prefect is worked out to assist the people of Ukraine to achieve accelerated development and growth of a competitive market-oriented economic system. The purposes of the project, however, are to strengthen Tavrida National University (TNU), Ukraine in its role of producing appropriately trained people needed in Ukraine for the emerging global market: to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Ukrainian region of the Crimea in a market-oriented economy: and to enhance the global literacy of Alabama A&M University's faculty, staff and students, particularly that of Ukraine. |
