Viktor F. Sharapa was born on the 1st of June 1936 in Dnepropetrovsk
Region (Ukraine.)
He finished the historical faculty of Crimean Pedagogical Institute (1960),
and postgraduate courses of Dnepropetrovsk State University (1969).
He has worked at the University since 1973. V.Sharapa is a candidate
of history (1969), the assistant professor of the Department of Ukrainian
History (1971), the head of the Department of History of Ukraine and Auxiliary
Historical Sciences (1981), professor (1994). The Dean of Historical Faculty
(1976-1979). A vice-rector in education (1979). The first vice-rector
in curriculum (1999).
Honoured Educational Worker of Ukraine (1997).
The area of science interests - the history of Ukraine and Crimea.
The author of more than 58 works on history of Ukraine.
A reader of lectures on history of Ukraine for the students of historical
faculty.
Knows German and Ukrainian languages.
