The Structure of Specializations

We began training students of philosophy ten years ago. In 1993 at the faculty of history the philosophy branch was organized. In 2000 branches of cultural and political science were opened. On the basis of these three branches in 2003 the faculty of philosophy was created. It consists of four departments: The Department of Cultural Science, The Department of Political Sciences, The Department of Social Philosophy, The Department of Philosophy.At the beginnings of philosophical sciences in TNU were the outstanding thinkers, public figures and scientists: professor Sergey Nikolaevich Bulgakov, professor Lev Shestov (Lev Isaakovich Shvartsman), professor of the law Pavel Ivanovich Novgorodtsev, full member of a Slovak Academy of Sciences from 1923 professor Pyotr Pavlovich Kudryavtsev, professor Anatoly Konstantinovich Synopalov - the graduate of the Heidelberg university, in the Crimean state pedagogical institute named after Frunze he was the pro-rector on scientific work in 1920th.
At the Faculty, the specialized academic Council on defence of master's theses works. The specialized academic Council was organized at the university in 1997. It was re-registered in 2001. The Council has the right to accept to consideration and to carry out defence of dissertations on competition of a scientific degree of the candidate of philosophical sciences on specialties:
In 2003 another specialty was added:23.00.02 √ political institutes and processes. The structure of the Council includes 21 persons, among them are 16 doctors of sciences. The Chairman is F. V. Lasarev. The vice-president is D.S. Berestovskaya. The scientific secretary is A. I. Kreminskiy. In the Council, there are leading experts of the scientific and educational centers of Simferopol, Kiev, Sevastopol, Lugansk, Zhitomir. Besides the professional training for the scientific school, which is basic for the faculty of philosophy of TNU, the Council works also for other regions of Ukraine. The geography of the competitors who have defended theses includes the cities of Simferopol, Sevastopol, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Melitopol, Odessa. For the period of existence of the Council 21 theses were defended. Young experts, graduates of the faculty are trained to work by the state order and regional interests of Crimea. They successfully work in higher schools of Crimea and Ukraine, high schools, lyceums, grammar schools as counselors, advisers, assistants to heads of the organizations (including international organizations) in system of scientific, educational and cultural establishments. The graduates have the opportunity of training in postgraduate study and doctoral studies, including training in the leading universities abroad.
After 4-year training the qualification
of "Bachelor" (of cultural science, political science or philosophy
accordingly) is given.
Scientists of the Faculty of Philosophy conduct researches on scientific directions of specialties and departments:
Faculty and his structural divisions have long and steady relations with many organizations and higher schools, among them - State Nikitskiy Botanical Garden, the Crimean observatory, art and ethnographic museums of Crimea, reserves, Institutes of philosophy at National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Russian Academy of Sciences, philosophical faculties of Kiev, Moscow and St.-Petersburg universities, and also the Faculty of Sociology of Moscow State University. According to the Memorandum made on May, 12, 2000 between Taurida National University and the Program of the United Nations for Development and Integration of Crimea, employees of the Faculty conduct scientific and practical work on development of recommendations to settle interethnic problems in Crimea.Conferences, round tables are regularly carried out. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
