General Information

The Department is involved in scientific research, in particular through its postgraduate program. More than 10 candidate and two doctoral dissertations have been prepared in the recent years. The Department has a Sector for Biologically Active Substances. The results of its research are applied in medicine and agriculture. Faculty members received the titles of Soros professors, assistant professors and postgraduates and were rewarded by international grants. The research of immunoadjuvant synthesis was greatly appraised by the academic community in the country and abroad.

The Department is the CIS leader in the synthesis of immunomodulators used to produce new generation vaccines for therapy of diseases, treatment of which has not been successful to the present day

Academic and Educational Relations

are maintained with the NASU Institute of Organic Chemistry, Nikitsky Botanical Garden, the Crimean Medical University, and the RAS Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry.
