It was established in 1934 and is now directed
by Professor Vladimir A. Bokov.
A monitoring station, set up by scientists
from this Department, operates in Qara Dagh National Park. The station welcomes
ecology students for their field practice. Faculty members and students promote
public awareness and participate in international environmental programs. A student
academic society operates at the Department and publishes The Records of the Society

ecology; methods of environmental assessment; landscape diversity conservation;
environmental aspects of sustainable development of territories, etc. |
