It was established in 1972 on the initiative and under direction of
Assistant Professor I. S. Chirva, the Deputy Rector for Academic Activity. It
is today directed by Professor V. F. Sharapa Professor V.F. Sharapa (history
of Ukraine);
Assistant Professors: A. A. Nepomniaschiy (history
of the 108] Crimea, history of Ukraine), P. N. Martsynovskiy (historiography
of the Ukrainian history), Zh. N. Mona (Ukrainian ethnography) and V.
Yu. Gankevych (heraldry, history of Ukraine); Lecturer S. A. Reshetov
(history teaching techniques);
Assistant S. P. Sukhomlina (history
of Ukraine). Core courses - history of Ukraine, historiography and ethnography
of Ukraine, historical country studies, history of the Crimea, source studies
and archive studies, heraldry, history teaching techniques. Economic and political history
of Ukraine; historical country studies; historical bibliography; history of the
Crimea.
The Department offers a postgraduate program in the history of Ukraine are maintained
with the NASU Institute of Oriental Studies and Institute of History, Donetsk
National University, Shevchenko Kiev National University, and Dnepropetrovsk University |
